To kick off the weekend’s events, acclaimed author and Carnegie Mellon School of Music professor Robert Fallon will give a lecture entitled “‘Des Provinces de France’: Interpreting Habitat and Landscape in Messiaen’s Catalogue d’oiseaux.” at the weekly musicology colloquium.
